Hopes of Peace Dashed?
Those of us hoping for a moderate Islam to use muscle against radical Islamic fascists must be dismayed by the babblings of Miss England. See also here.
Liberalism is a philosophy that regards liberty as a condition essential to human well being. Through free speech we come to a better understanding and course of action than we could without facing opposition. Liberalism freed men to do their business, to practise any religion; to have universal sufferage. We, who live in freedom, live in liberal democracies, whether we elect "conservatives" or "liberals." I am a classic liberal soldier.
